About TripBeta
“Need some beta?”
As a family of climbers, we’ve always loved the idea of beta – sharing step-by-step instructions and insider tips to summit a route with a new climber, all from someone who’s climbed it before.
For us, there’s nothing more inspiring than lending a helping hand, giving specific tips and tricks to help others overcome obstacles and realize their dreams.

We started TripBeta because when it comes to family travel, we’ve done it all before. City sightseeing in Seoul? You bet. Swim with the penguins in the Galapagos? Claro que sí. Our family loves to explore new places and find little-known gems — from that hole-in-the-wall restaurant with the amazing chef's menu that's actually family-friendly to the secret restroom with no line, tucked away in a dusty corner of a crowded museum - WITH a changing table.
We’re here to share our knowledge, tips and tricks, and first-hand lessons learned – our "trip beta" – from traveling the world with kids starting from them entering their terrible twos through their teenage years. Because when you know, you GO!
Our mission is to open up the world for families and seed wanderlust for a new generation.
Untangle family travel with our professionally curated TripTips written by parents, for parents. Join for free or unlock even more travel inspo, booking hacks, and insider info with our paid First Class subscription when we officially launch our site.
About Esther Teodoro, Virtuoso Certified Travel Advisor
I inherited my love of travel from my dad, a freighter captain who saw the world by sea. As a Corporate Event Planner for large scale clients such as Microsoft, Starbucks, Vulcan, and Madrona Ventures, I spent over 20 years curating and crafting experiences for groups of all shapes and sizes. This corporate work for Fortune 500 companies informed my family travel with our two kids and vice versa. I love to put together customized itineraries with just the right mix of exciting adventures and comfortable retreats for each person on the trip — big or small.
As an avid traveler and a master planner, I'm excited to share with you the "secret" lists (or Beta, as the climbing community calls it) people ask me for when they're visiting a new place.
Whether you're looking for general guidance or completely customized, personal planning, my years of world travel and event planning will untangle those knots in your stomach when trying to build that perfect family trip.
